Artist: Jack Christfield
Photography has been a serious avocation for Jack since high school. A career in computer software allowed him to travel extensively and grasp fine points of photo edit technology.
In 2007, his image “Mountain, Clouds and Ice” was awarded Best in Show at the TC Arts photo exhibition. His work has been published in Our State and Blue Ridge Country magazines and exhibited at various galleries.
Learning the craft through personal experience, darkroom work and studying images of other photographers, Jack finds that photo graphy helps him to see the world in textures and colors that are often unnoticed.
Jack and his wife have lived in the Brevard area since 2003. He is an active member of Land of Waterfalls Camera Club.

Artist: Nancy Rotenberg
Nancy Rotenberg was one of America’s most acclaimed nature photographers, an
artist and teacher with our gallery for four years. She motivated thousands of people of all ages to be better photographers through her teaching and writings. Her enormous talent, zest for life and great courageous spirit inspired the photography world.
Nancy’s goal was to photograph intimately, beyond documentation, and to discover each subject’s unique essence. Her much celebrated books containing her images are: “Photography and the Creative Life”, “La Luz del Pueblo - Discovering a Sense of Place” and “Close-up Photography - Capturing Nature’s Intimate Landscapes”.
We are most grateful to Nancy’s family for allowing Bluewood Gallery to continue to display and sell her remarkable images, tapes and books.
